Okay, we all have our favorite styles of shoes, and one of mine is the 1940’s era styles. I love the clothing fashions from that time, and I adore the shoes. Ever catch an old movie and the leading lady is decked out to the nines? She not only wore her dress, but her gloves, coat, and hat as well. And the shoes! Oh my gosh! There was something about them that was so basic and yet so classy at the same time. They were functional and beautiful.
Well guess what I found? These brown and cream spectator stacked pumps are vintage. Did you hear that? Vintage! Not retro, but shoes actually made and worn in the 1940’s. That’s like, the bomb! And look at what great shape they’re in – you can’t find something that lasts like that in today’s shoes, not even those really expensive ones I showed you a few weeks ago. Those are designed to last just for a season, until the next styles come out. Back then, people knew how to make things. And the shoes were awesome.
Check out these “BabyJanes.” Whatever happened to her, anyway?
Aren’t these just adorable with their little strap? They come in different color combinations too. You can get the red/black ones if you’re feeling “vampy,” Heheheh. How vampy can one be in BabyJanes, I wonder? I’d love to find out!
These are just too cute with the little bow tie. And I discovered something while clicking around this last site – Pin-Up Girl Clothing! How cool is that? Everything you ever needed to dress like your favorite pin-up girl. Even, and especially, shoes.
