Cake!

Cake 4 candlesIt was mandatory that we head to the store yesterday, because today is a certain pretty pretty princess’s birthday.  So mommy had to get cake mix and a gift, and all that jazz.  The bummer was that the 10 minute trip home ended up taking 45 minutes.  I don’t know why traffic was so backed up – the best guess we could come up with was there was possibly an accident on the freeway that was causing traffic to divert to the road we typically take.

The extra time in the car gave us more time to listen to our kids chatter.

“We’d be in trouble if we had ice cream,” muttered the handsome prince.

“Yeah, it’d be heading south by now,” answered dad.

”I wonder what would happen if it headed west?” pondered the prince.

That boy!

So today will be busy with baking and decorating a cake – all chocolate of course.  :)

Three was so much fun, Lord only knows what four will bring.  I can’t wait.  😀

It’s not my birthday, but thank you very much for the cake. Yummy!

You’re welcome! I’m so glad you like it! 😀

  2. It doesn’t seem like she should be four. She’s not a baby anymore, but she’ll always be YOUR baby. Happy birthday!

I keep telling her not to grow anymore – she doesn’t listen. Yeah, she’ll always be my baby. 😀

Thanks! I’ll send your wishes her way. 🙂

CAKE! Little Miss Squishy Pants is 3 months old today. I may have to celebrate with brownies. For me, of course…

3 months! Really, it seems like just a couple weeks ago!

Have fun NOM’ing the cake. And Happy Birthday Eyas! (that’s the technical term for a baby falcon still in the nest).

I always wondered! And I’m so glad it’s not “chicks”! Thanks for that tidbit. 🙂

Oh yeah, sounds like you have a wiseguy on your hands; at least he gets it honestly!

*sigh* Honestly – yeah, ROFL. He’s been that way since he was a tiny thing and smacked his baby hand on the table, laughing – after daddy did it in frustration. We knew then we were in trouble!
