It sure does seem quiet out here in Internetland.
I was hoping to put off the mopping, you know, by having things to do online. I guess that won’t be happening today!
My floors, I suppose, are grateful.
Hope you all are having a great day.
I know, relatively few hits today. I think I am going to explore another schlager music sensation to write up, but it’s getting harder and harder to find ones with bios written in English and I can’t seem to find kraut speakers who want to help me.
Have you tried Babelfish, or the Google Translator? With the Google one you don’t have to download anything. They might help you translate the bios you find. 🙂
Cute lolcat! I hope your mopping went well.
Eh, the mopping – it was wet, it was dry, you know how it goes. 😉 My favorite part is the done part. 😀
The Internet has been quiet… I wish I felt like doing housework, or had time to do everything I’d like to do. We’ve kept it from turning into a hell-hole, but we’re still in the “okay, I have about this much time right now – what to tackle?” I look forward to washing dishes… it’s *me* time, alone in the kitchen, and I like it.
I like imagining I’m tossing my troubles down the drain with the dirty dishwater. 🙂
Here’s one of my favorite little poems for you sweetie – once saw it in a catalog, don’t know if it’s still around:
Babies Don’t Keep
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait for tomorrow
For babies grow up we’ve learned to our sorrow
So quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.
That poem was in the hospital room I stayed in after my daughter was born. I read it and took it to heart. Enjoy every minute you have with your kids, because before you know it, they are grown and living far away.
It must be 20 years since I saw it – I wanted to get it but didn’t have the money then, so I memorized it with the intent of making a plaque of my own or something. It’s one of my favorites. 🙂
HAHAHA! Perfect picture.
