Weekending

imageWhat did you do over the weekend?  I intended to get caught up with a lot of my online reading.  Oh how deluded I was!  LOL

Instead, we did some errand running, which was really a spontaneous thing.  But I have a new mousepad!  See?  <<–  I was walking around the office supply store and I kept hearing my name being called and I found this mousepad was the one calling me.  I mean check it out – butterflies, roses, shoes, pink!  My name, right there!  :D  Could it be more me?

Then we watched a couple of movies, which was fun.  Saw some good ones too – Hereafter and Frankenweenie.  Hereafter was a slow mover but the story was really interesting.  Frankenweenie was really fun, a lot of homage going on in that one too, as well as being cute for the kids.  The Bambi Meets Godzilla reference made me laugh.

Naturally I got behind on the household stuff I wanted to do.  Isn’t that what weekends are for, really?  Not getting done what you’d hoped?  LOL  I spend my life catching up – Lord only knows what would happen to me if I actually ever did get caught up.  I bet my head would explode.

So we begin week 2 of our new schedule and so far so good.  The kids seem to be adapting, I seem to be adapting, although a bit slower than the kids.  Maybe a couple more weeks for me.  Hopefully!

This was our sunrise this morning.  So nice to see sunlight!  We had a touch of snow over the weekend and it was mostly gray and overcast.  Hello Mr Golden Sun!  Please shine down on me!

  2. You know, I’m very proud of you on the new schedule. Not easy to make that adjustment. And I forgot to review Frankenweenie! I’m a … a weenie!

    Thanks Love. 🙂

Oh, you’ll get your reviews in, for both movies, I’m sure. 🙂

  3. It was football and movies in our house this weekend, plus some cleaning, which I really enjoyed. I’ll do anything to stay indoors while is freezes outside. Your mousepad has your name on it!!! Cool. Have a great week 🙂

Oooh, football! I miss football since we no longer have TV service, but in a way it’s probably better for our health, lol. We tend to get a little … excited. 😉 That surely can’t be good for our blood pressure.

Cleaning does have it’s merits! For me it’s sometimes a form of therapy. 🙂

Have a great week too, hon!

  4. My weekend was not too dissimilar. I looked at Frankenweinie toys at the Disney store. I finally saw the movie Taken. That movie scared my testicles into infertility.

Taken scared you? I had a hard time buying Liam Neeson as an action hero. It was a decent movie as far as it went, predictable though, didn’t you think?

    • The movie did that Patriot Games thing of showing the persons face while something really bad happens. I imagined that girl being my daughter.

Having seen that movie, how do you let your daughter out of her home? I wouldn’t.

Ahh, I get it. 🙂 That’s why I cry at some movies, because I imagine that scenario in a personal way in some manner.

Heh, she is never alone. Plus, she’s only 7. However, when she’s 17, either her father or I will be going on her dates with her. That is, if we’ve decided she’s allowed to date at that time. 😀

  5. Cute mousepad! It reminds me of shoe tape dispensers I’ve seen. http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?webid=904103&CatIds=6996%2C6994%2C6991%2C6985&AffixedCode=WW&=&=&=

Thanks! Aren’t those shoe dispensers cute? I saw those, and they had other things like purses and whatnot for other little desk things. It looked like a ladies accessory store, lol. 🙂
