Last year you acknowledged St. Patrick’s Day. (Note: Saint Patrick) Why are you not acknowledging the sainthood of St. Valentine?
I remember us discussing this a bit last year. Certainly no disrespect is intended toward St Valentine. In thinking about it during the day today, I’ve come to the suspicion/conclusion that it’s a societal or cultural thing. On St Patrick’s Day, it’s St Patrick’s Day. Or even the yucky “St Paddy’s Day.” But no one ever says, “Will you be my Patrick?” “Ooh, did you get me Patrick candies?” Or even, “How many Patrick’s did you get?” (Don’t get dirty on me now! LOL) It seems to me that “Valentine” has become a regular noun, in addition to a proper name. It has taken on “thing” status and is not so much “person” status anymore. I’m not saying that’s a good thing, mind you, it’s just something I’ve noticed.
For you, Happy St Valentine’s Day! 🙂

Thank you.
And greeting card companies make St. Patrick’s Day cards so… I guess you can get a Paddy. Instead of it being a chocolate, I think it’s a pint of green beer.
You know, I have never had green beer. Have you? I think I’ve had perhaps 3 beers in my entire life, maybe 4, and none of them were green.
